Special Committees
1.1 Credentials Committee
1.1.1 Policies of the Credentialing Committee
1.1.1.1Objectives:
1.1.1.1.1 The Section exist to collect, process and keep up to date all documents, credentials by all the Medical departments in the Hospital needed to keep its accreditation with Government Agencies and International Accreditation Organization valid and current.
1.1.1.1.2 The Section also screens all new applicants for the position of Associate Staff or Active Staff in all the Medical Departments in the Hospital. The Section also review all the Status of the Medical Staff to determine whether they are in good Standing with their departments and make recommendations to the Clinical Governance Board if a staff is delinquent with his/her documents.
1.1.1.2Composition: The Members of the Credentialing Committee are appointed by the Clinical Governance Board with the approval of the Medical Director
1.1.1.3Meeting: The Committee meets once a month, on the 2nd Thursday at 330pm at the Cebu Doctors’ University Hospital Outpatient department building 2nd floor, office of Internal Medicine. The minutes of the meeting is then reported to the Clinical Governance Board by its current representative in the committee. If there are applications to be reviewed, the Committee can be called for a meeting to review all the documents submitted by an applicant. The committee also discuss any new problems or policies which are raised up by its respective members.
